Othon Palace Copacabana Rio - Rio de Janeiro

The breakfast options were tasty each morning, and I loved how the hotel allowed us to order off the bar menu at dinner. Our room had a fantastic view, amazing! I'd definitely return.

The hotel was well located, staff were friendly, rooms clean and neat. Beds were single but comfy, bathrooms clean, views sensational!

Friendly and efficient staff and the hotel is in an excellant location.The beach beds and towels include in the price are a really nice touch as are the friendly helpful beach staff.

The swimming pool looks more glamorous on the website than the reality. It was rather small in reality.

The hotel staff was willing to help and assisted with private parking. We have spent 5 days in luxury king room with a balcony, an amazing view, as example.

It had awful views.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The place was very clean and quiet.

I didn't like the breakfast. I only ate two times and one of my friends didn't go back after the first day. My other friend never went in because of our comments. I paid extra to have a third person in the room and I think that was because of the cost of the breakfast. I think that you should allow people to opt of the breakfast plan. I think you pay dearly for it.

The Hotel Location and views are fantastic; the staff were all very polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good both hot and cold food. The roof pool was lovely it did not seem over busy. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The only complaint I have about this hotel is on checking out we requested a taxi, and up to this point we had always been given a yellow taxi but this time they gave us black cars that did not have any meters in them and we were charge over double the price the yellow taxi charged us to get to the hotel from the airport on our arrival. This practice should not be allowed and the hotel should ban it as they know it is happening.

If you are a afro woman married witha white man. don't stay there!!! The security staff were very rude and treated me as a prostitute when I came back from the beach with my husband.:-(

It was our second stay at the Rio Othon Palace, and its excellent location on Copacobana beach, and convenient siutation for visiting Rio means that it's a good choice when showing visitors the city.

Chech-in and check out is too long and complicated.

Read all the reviews of Copabana hotels carefully. Chose to stay in Rio Othon, no complaints, fullfilled all my expectations. Was on 28th (top)floor, great view over Copacabana. Spend the extra 100RS to get it. Staff helpful and professional and friendly.

The tour promoted by the hotel was below par, unitelligible English speaker, useless. Way overpriced (180RS for SugarLoaf/Christ the Redeemer monument). Take the taxi to both, its cheaper!

My impresion was that it was not the right corect star raitet It should be raited it maximum of 3 star I can list many things that was advertis and ware not correct no internet, pluming like the shower with not pressure valve ,could not control the cold and the hot water , my bed sheet were stain with blud ,,Deak slidind door could not close properly , poor quality of window therefore very noise come from the outside , I have many othernegative things but I conclude by congratulate the service and the staff that were verry good .In conclusion ,I did not get my monys worthed. One block away from the hotel same side in front on the side walk I was walkink to ward the hotel when I was muged by three big black Brazilian guy ,one of tham had a long knife , My clothing got all reapet by stragling ,I was very luky I andup oly with bruses in my body .I would have much more to explain ,but I dont have the time now .

The service is attentive with private parking available and reasonably priced meals. The rooms are newly furnished and functional, have good size bathroom. The breakfasts is savoury and delicious with lots of food.

My children wanted a better pool experience with more activities for kids, as the main pool felt crowded with adults enjoying drinks.

The front desk staff, especially Rihana and Sonia were excellent and an asset to the hotel.

The Air Conditioning system did not cool the room sufficiently, so it was too warm in the room, and they charge extra for using the Internet. They charged 15% Tax even though their Web Site said 10%
